Apasionado Duo – Guitar and Violin
Gabriel Datcu is a versatile guitarist incorporating styles from Classical to Jazz, Latin, Funk, R&B, Motown, Acoustic Rock to current top40s hits. He is actively performing locally as well as nationally. Some of the past and current performing venues include Pritzker Stage, Grant Park, Jazz Showcase, City Winery, Shedd Aquarium, Willis-Sears Tower’s Metropolitan Club, The Peninsula Hotel, and Chicago Theatre. With over 17 years of experience, Gabriel has successfully provided live entertainment either as a solo guitarist or with ensembles in USA and Europe. Emi Tanabe is a versatile violinist and has been performing various genres of music in various parts of the world. She had toured with Irish Choir 鈥淎NUNA鈥� and performed at PBS TV program 鈥淐hristmas Memories鈥� as a guest violinist. Emi Tanabe is a member of 鈥淎pollo鈥檚 Fire鈥� (Cleveland Baroque Orchestra) a Grammy nominated Baroque Orchestra and performed with them at prestigious venues/festivals in all of the world: U.S., England, Spain, Portugal and France such as Carnegie Hall, BBC Proms in London, Tanglewood and Ravinia.
